Producer identity

One small estate and one village cellar

Celler BalmaPrat was founded in 2008 by the Del Águila-Pellicer family. The DOQ account describes production from the family's single La Balma estate.

Priorat tourism records assistance from Adrià Pérez of Cims de Porrera. That working relationship does not merge BalmaPrat with Cims de Porrera or turn either name into an additional winery.

Current wine evidence

Dempeus, Dempeus Selecció and La Parada

Dempeus

One of three red wines named in the current regional producer record.

Dempeus Selecció

A separate selection within the BalmaPrat range rather than an alias for the standard Dempeus.

La Parada

The third documented red. Its blend and production details should be taken from the relevant vintage source.

Place relationship

La Balma outside, Prat de la Riba inside Porrera

The cellar occupies Carrer Prat de la Riba, 7 in Porrera. Regional tourism material describes barrels surrounded by slate and a small tasting room above.

The DOQ record publishes visits by prior reservation in Catalan, Spanish and English, and the regional listing records direct sales at the cellar.
