Celler Cecilio traces its first wine to 1942. The producer states that Cecilio Vicent became the first winery registered with the Priorat regulatory body when the designation's rules were officially published in 1954.
Those dates describe first production and later formal registration, not rival founding claims. The family producer remains based at Carrer Piró in Gratallops.
