A Porrera family project created in the old Cal Simó storehouse after generations of farming and trading local produce.
Producer identity
A new cellar inside an old trading house
Adrià Domènech began Celler l’Antic Magatzem at the end of 2022 in the basement of the Porrera house where he was born. The building was known as Cal Simó or the Magatzem because the family traded wine, olive oil and nuts there from the late nineteenth century.
The recent producer project and the older family trading history are related but not interchangeable dates. The winery dates from 2022, not from the nineteenth century.
Domènech is also a founder of Fills de la Llicorella. That earlier three-person project and Celler l’Antic Magatzem remain separate public producer identities despite the shared person and contact number.

The producer's 2023 record gives 60% Carinyena and 40% Garnatxa, with six months in amphora. Those details apply to that vintage.

Place relationship
Les Sentius and El Bosc supply the cellar
All grapes are recorded as estate-grown, principally from Les Sentius and El Bosc. The producer's 2023 village wine joins the two sites rather than treating them as one vineyard.
