Producer identity
A modern winery built from family vineyard continuity
Celler Mas Doix was founded in Poboleda in 1998 by the Doix and Llagostera families. The modern producer recovered vineyards formerly worked by Joan Doix, Robert and Pere Negre and Ladimiro Font for the Poboleda cooperative.
That earlier family and cooperative history is the vineyard inheritance of the present winery, not an uninterrupted Mas Doix company history. The current estate address is Carretera T-702, km 4, Partida Les Foreses.
Current wine evidence
From Les Crestes to two classified vineyards
1902 Tossal d’en Bou
A Carinyena wine from Tossal d’en Bou. DOQ Priorat records the site as Gran Vinya Classificada from the 2019 vintage; the classification is attached to the vineyard and wine, not the whole Mas Doix range.
1903 Coma de Cases
The producer presents the current 2023 release as Vinya Classificada. It remains distinct from the higher Gran Vinya Classificada status of Tossal d’en Bou.
Doix, Salanques and Poboleda
Three red-wine identities in the current estate range, each retained under the Mas Doix producer rather than treated as separate cellars.
Murmuri, Salix and Les Crestes
Murmuri and Salix carry the white-wine side of the current range, while Les Crestes is a red. Current blends remain vintage-specific.
Place relationship
Les Foreses and the Poboleda microclimate
Mas Doix describes its wines through Poboleda's microclimate, llicorella hills and Garnatxa and Carinyena vines. Those estate claims are not extended to every vineyard in the municipality.
The current visitor programme offers four winery-and-vineyard tastings from five to ten wines, plus a virtual format. Published visits run Monday to Saturday at three stated times and close on Sundays and public holidays.
