A Porrera project begun in 1996 to preserve old Carinyena and Garnatxa vineyards through work with village growers.
Producer identity
Old vines and a cooperative-grower origin
Cims de Porrera began in 1996 with the stated aim of preserving old indigenous vineyards around Porrera. Its model bought grapes from members of the village cooperative to support continued cultivation.
BalmaPrat has documented winemaking assistance from Adrià Pérez of Cims de Porrera, and other Porrera projects have used host production. Those relationships do not merge BalmaPrat, Les Cousins or any other public identity into Cims de Porrera.

Cims de Porrera Clàssic Carinyena
An old-vine Carinyena expression within the producer's established range.
Cims de Porrera Clàssic Garnatxa
A separate Garnatxa wine rather than a blend specification for the Carinyena bottling.
Vi de Vila Porrera
The village range includes red and white wines. Published blends and ageing belong to the individual vintage and colour.
Place relationship
Porrera fruit without collapsing hosted producers
The DOQ account records old Porrera vineyards on llicorella slopes of 40% to 50%, with low yields, and connects the project with forty hectares planted between roughly sixty and 105 years earlier. These are producer-source figures, not current municipal totals.
Visits are published by prior reservation in Catalan, Spanish, French and English.
