An older family place and a younger wine project
Peter Hodgkinson acquired the 76-hectare Mas del Habanero property in 1972 as a family retreat. His sons Peter, Caspare and Luca began the family wine project in 2014, so the two dates describe the estate relationship and the producer's start rather than competing founding years.
The DOQ registers the winery at Mas del Habanero in Els Masos, within Falset municipality. Mas del Habanero is both the estate and principal wine name, not a second producer.

A Garnatxa and Carinyena red documented across several vintages. The 2018 merchant record describes it as Garnatxa-led, while exact proportions are not treated as permanent.

Cariñena
