Producer identity
Three dates, each describing a different stage
The family wine account begins in 1949 with Manuel Gómez's bulk-wine shop in Sant Cugat del Vallès. The family and Joan Milà bought land in La Morera de Montsant in 1998, the first Maius wine followed in 2004 and the estate winery was built in 2011.
Those dates describe family background, vineyard acquisition, first wine and winery construction. None is silently substituted for another as a single founding date.

One estate across red, white and rosé
Maius Barranc de la Bruixa
The producer's current technical record gives 65% Carinyena, 25% Garnatxa and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, with twelve months in French and American oak. The blend remains specific to the published release.
Maius Assemblatge
A younger red currently described as Garnatxa-led with Carinyena and Cabernet Sauvignon, with only part of the wine receiving oak ageing.
White Maius and Maius rosé
The current white combines Garnatxa Blanca and Macabeu; the rosé is presented as Garnatxa. These published compositions should be rechecked with each release.

The official winery address is Finca Maius, Barranc de la Bruixa, parcel 16 in La Morera de Montsant. The producer describes a south-facing estate protected from northern winds.
