Producer identity
A modern producer on a historic Carthusian property
Terra Dominicata is the current winery and hotel at Mas del Tancat, about 1.5 kilometres from the Charterhouse of Scala Dei. The estate was formerly an agricultural property of the monastery.
That historic land relationship does not make the modern company a direct corporate continuation of the Carthusian community. Monastic history and present producer identity are kept as separate records.

Estate range
Terra Dominicata makes its own DOQ Priorat wines from the Mas del Tancat estate. Individual blends and vineyard claims remain attached to the named wine and vintage.
Ground at Mas del Tancat
The official winery account describes slate, calcareous material and red stones within the estate. It is a site-specific account and not a definition of all Escaladei soils.
Hotel and winery
The accommodation, restaurant and cellar share one estate subject. They do not create separate producer identities.

Mas del Tancat lies within La Morera de Montsant municipality and is publicly associated with Escaladei. The current visitor address is on the T-702 at kilometre 13.
The current winery visit includes an explanation of production and a tasting of four wines. Hotel, restaurant and winery bookings are separate arrangements.
