Producer identity

Cal Batllet and Celler Ripoll Sans are one producer

Cal Batllet was founded as the present project in 2000 through restoration of the old family winery in Gratallops. Celler Ripoll Sans is the operator identity attached to the same producer, not another winery.

The wines come from family vineyards in Gratallops and Torroja del Priorat. Those two municipal origins do not create duplicate producer profiles.

Current wine evidence

Village wines and named sites

5 Partides and D’Iatra

Gratallops Vi de Vila wines within the Cal Batllet portfolio. Their village designation remains distinct from the Torroja wines.

Ronçavall

A Torroja del Priorat Vi de Vila identity based on the producer's vineyard relationship there.

Aubagues

A named-site wine in the same family range. Its paratge-level claim is narrower than either municipal relationship.

Escanya-vella and Llum d’Alena

White-wine identities including the recovered Escanyavella variety. Variety and classification details remain tied to each current release.

Place relationship

Two villages, one family cellar

The official producer record describes own vineyards reaching about a century in age on slate slopes in both municipalities. The maximum age is not applied to every vine.

Visits to the historic winery are arranged directly, with vineyard visits available when requested in advance.
