A Gil Family Estates project whose registered DO Montsant production installation is in El Molar.
Producer identity
One producer, two recorded municipal relationships
Gil Family Estates began the Can Blau project in 2003. Some public wine and tourism records associate the name with El Masroig, while the Generalitat production record places its installation in El Molar.
Both relationships can be recorded without creating a second producer. The production installation is the reason Cellers Can Blau belongs to the El Molar winery directory and was not counted as an El Masroig municipal winery.
Cellers Can Blau and Llicorella Vins are separate public producer identities within Gil Family Estates. Their shared group contact details do not merge their appellations, wines or municipal relationships.
Current wine evidence
Carinyena, Garnatxa and Syrah kept site-specific
Blau
A DO Montsant red built around Carinyena, Garnatxa and Syrah. The proportions belong to each vintage rather than to the producer identity.
Can Blau
The estate's named red. Producer material connects its component varieties with different soils; those are wine and vineyard claims, not a uniform description of El Molar.
Mas de Can Blau
A separate aged red in the range. Current blend and ageing details should be checked against the relevant vintage sheet.
Place relationship
The production record places the winery in El Molar
The project works across the contrasting soils of DO Montsant. Its descriptions of sand and clay, limestone and llicorella remain attached to particular varieties and sites.
No current producer-controlled visitor programme or public meeting point at the El Molar installation was verified.
