Wine geography
A wine landscape without a separate producer register
Siurana lies within the DO Montsant municipality of Cornudella. Its vineyards and place name belong to that wider wine geography, but the settlement is not presented as a second municipal producer list.
The reservoir, cliffs and high approaches shape the setting more visibly than winery infrastructure in the compact settlement.
Producer register
No municipality-based winery in current registers
This is a municipal relationship register, not a list of tasting rooms.
No municipality-based winery in the current appellation evidence.
Place record
The last stronghold and the queen's legend
The castle was a Muslim hisn established around the ninth century. Siurana resisted after Tortosa and Lleida had fallen and was conquered in 1153 or 1154.
The story of Abdelazia riding from the Salt de la Reina Mora belongs to legend, not historical evidence for the conquest.
Santa Maria was built between the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. Its single Romanesque nave ends in a semicircular apse.
Planning the visit
Parking, cliffs and changing access
Vehicle access uses regulated parking outside the compact settlement. Guided visits, church access and parking arrangements should be checked before travel.
Siurana is internationally important for sport climbing. The terrain requires suitable experience, equipment and current local access information.
