Producer identity

Encastell and Cal Bessó remain separate public producers

Carme Figuerola and Raimon Castellví built Celler de l’Encastell in Porrera in 1999 to vinify fruit from their own vineyards. The DOQ record names Mas d’en Caçador, Mas d’en Ferran and Els Arbres.

DO Montsant identifies Cal Bessó at Els Guiamets as founded by Raimon Castellví, owner of Celler de l’Encastell, and corporate records use Cal Bessó-Encastell SL. The relationship is real, but the two remain separate public producer identities in different appellations and municipalities.

Current wine evidence

Roquers, Marge and three Mas d’en Caçador wines

Roquers de Porrera

An established DOQ Priorat red and the principal public wine identity on the producer's current site.

Marge

A separate DOQ Priorat red in the current range.

Mas d’en Caçador

A three-wine vi de paratge collection: Garnatxa Negra, Carinyena and a traditional equal blend of the two, as recorded by the DOQ.

Place relationship

Ten hectares across three Porrera estates

The producer records ten hectares of its own Porrera vineyards, including century-old vines at Mas d’en Caçador.

Address sources conflict: the DOQ page gives Carrer del Castell, 4, while other current wine directories give number 13. The relationship between those numbers has not been established, so visitors should use the booking confirmation.
