A Porrera cellar founded by Lluís Llach and Enric Costa, rebuilt after the 2021 roof collapse and now led by the next Costa generation.
Producer identity
A social project that became a Porrera benchmark
Lluís Llach and Enric Costa established Vall Llach in Porrera in the early 1990s, with the first Vall Llach vintage released from 1998. Albert Costa assumed leadership after Enric Costa's death in 2013; Lluís Llach remains connected with the company.
A severe snowstorm caused the roof of the historic vinification building to collapse in 2021. The rebuilt facility remains part of the same producer rather than a new founding.

Mas de la Rosa above a deliberately broad range
Mas de la Rosa
The producer's Gran Vinya Classificada wine from a steep Porrera vineyard planted around 1900. The classification and site apply to this wine, not the full range.
Porrera Vi de Vila
A village red led by old-vine Carinyena with Garnatxa, alongside a current Garnatxa Blanca village white.
Priorat de Vall Llach
The successor to the former Idus identity, made from grower fruit including Porrera, Torroja del Priorat and the Escaladei area. Those sources do not create three winery profiles.
Place relationship
Cal Baldrich and La Final anchor the winery inside the village
Vall Llach restored Cal Baldrich and La Final as working Porrera buildings. The rebuilt vinification hall now uses steel, oak, concrete, stone and clay vessels.
The current booking page publishes an approximately two-hour winery visit and tasting at 11:00 for €35 per person, subject to confirmation.
