Mas de Sant Marcell
A revived family estate whose vineyards cross the line between DO Montsant at Cornudella de Montsant and DOQ Priorat at La Morera de Montsant.

Producer identity
One estate across two appellations
The Oliver-Ponsarnau family bought Mas de Sant Marcell in 2019 after finding the abandoned estate the previous year. They began restoring its vineyards and olive groves, started building the new cellar in 2024 and vinified their first harvest there that year.
Most of the estate vineyard lies in Cornudella de Montsant within DO Montsant, while two hectares lie across the municipal and appellation line in La Morera de Montsant within DOQ Priorat. These relationships belong to one producer and do not move a wine between appellations.
Mas de Sant Marcell is not Clos Maria, whose legal producer is Sant Marcel LP SLU. The similar names do not establish one organisation.
Current wine evidence
The first releases remain site-specific
Les Boleteres
A Carinyena release carrying DOQ Priorat. Its appellation and vineyard relationship belong to this wine rather than to every part of the cross-boundary estate.
Spontaneous fermentation
The producer states that it ferments with the yeasts naturally present on the grape skins. This is a current cellar-practice statement, not an organic-certification claim.
A developing range
The cellar and portfolio are recent. Current releases should be checked directly rather than inferred from the estate's full vineyard area.
Place relationship
Sant Marcell between Cornudella and La Morera
The estate records 24 hectares of vineyard and four hectares of olive trees, with seventeen vineyard hectares identified for recovery when the family arrived. The figures describe the wider holding, not a single appellation block.
The public address is on the TP-7402 near Cornudella de Montsant. No fixed walk-in schedule or reliable current visit price was verified.
