Cabacés
A north-western village above the Montsant river, where one family winery sits within a wider landscape of olive, almond, cherry and fruit cultivation.
Cabacés is the current official municipal name. Cabassers remains the normative Catalan form and is retained as a documented alternative.

One estate winery within mixed agriculture
The March 2025 DO Montsant register lists Celler Mas de les Vinyes. DO Montsant dates the family project to 1999 and traces work on the estate to the 1930s.
The Cooperativa de Cabacés and Molí Miró Cubells belong to the village's strong olive-oil identity rather than enlarging its winery count.

Bridges, hermitages and the old barony
The parish church contains a fourteenth-century Gothic altarpiece attributed in the official tourism record to Borrassà.
A medieval three-span bridge crosses the Montsant river towards La Bisbal de Falset. Paths also lead to the Foia, Sant Roc and Sant Joan hermitages.

A western approach to the Montsant valley
The T-702 reaches Cabacés and continues towards La Bisbal de Falset. La Vilella Baixa lies to the south-east and Margalef farther north.
The current DO Montsant tourism guide promotes estate visits, but arrangements should be confirmed directly before travelling.
