Producer identity
One producer organisation across two appellations
Alfredo Arribas began the project in 2001 after acquiring the Clos del Portal estate near El Lloar and Bellmunt del Priorat. Portal del Priorat is the public producer identity connecting that estate, the Gotes range and the Trossos work in DO Montsant.
The organisation publishes La Nau in Falset as a contact and working base. That Falset relationship does not move the Clos del Portal estate from DOQ Priorat or turn Montsant fruit into Priorat wine.

Clos, Gotes and Trossos keep their origins visible
Trossos
A family of DO Montsant wines built from named old-vine parcels. The range retains each site's variety, municipality and ground rather than treating Montsant as one uniform source.
Vells
A DO Montsant Carinyena from old vines at El Masroig. The producer publishes red clay for this wine's site; the claim is not extended to Falset or the wider appellation.
Tros Blanc Notaria
A DO Montsant Garnatxa Blanca from Mas de la Notaria, published on sandy and calcareous ground near the Siurana river.
Gotes del Priorat
A DOQ Priorat red from Garnatxa, Carinyena and Syrah sourced from higher, ventilated sites. Its appellation remains separate from the Trossos wines.
Place relationship
Falset is a base, not the origin of every wine
Clos del Portal is an estate of more than fifty hectares, with vineyards, olive and almond trees and Mediterranean woodland. It is the producer's principal DOQ Priorat landscape relationship.
Falset, El Lloar and El Masroig can all be valid producer relationships at once. They represent a working base, an estate winery and a named vineyard source, not three independent producers.
