Marçà
Vineyards and orchards spread below La Miloquera, while the railway and the road to Falset place this small village on a wider regional route.
Marçà stands at the foot of La Miloquera in the south of the Priorat comarca. Falset is three kilometres to the north. Capçanes and Els Guiamets lie farther south, with the Serra de Llaberia and Mola de Colldejou rising to the east.
Wine is part of a mixed cultivated landscape. Vines share the ground with olive trees, almonds and cereals. Dry-stone terraces remain visible around the village and on the lower slopes.

Marçà-Falset station is in Marçà municipality. The name reflects the two places it serves, not a boundary running through the station.
La Miloquera
A viewpoint over the cultivated basin
From La Miloquera, the village sits below a wide horizon: Montsant to the north, the Serra de Llaberia and Mola de Colldejou to the east and the lower vineyard country around Marçà.
Producer accounts refer to granite, clay, limestone and llicorella in different parcels. Those descriptions belong to individual sites. No single soil defines the municipality.

The principal set combines village cellars, estate facilities and projects whose wider identity reaches beyond the municipality.
Cooperative inheritance
Two village histories in one organisation
Marçà’s first agricultural syndicate dates to 1912. The Falset cooperative followed in 1917 and the two organisations merged in 1999.
The principal visitor cellar is now the modernist building in Falset. Marçà remains part of the cooperative’s name and history and its wines are sold under the Ètim range.
Village history
A documented castle, an older archaeological record
Marçà’s castle is documented in 1153 and its church in 1154. The settlement later passed through the Castellvell and Entença lordships and the County of Prades.
Finds around the municipality reach much further back. They include a Lower Palaeolithic hand axe, Bell Beaker material, Bronze Age arrowheads, Roman remains and a late Roman triple burial.
Art and local memory
The Lula Pérez-MarçàGiné museum
The museum brings together work connected with the painter Josep Sancho Piqué and the sculptor Marcel·lí Giné, alongside archaeological material found in the municipality.
The eighteenth-century parish church and the Font dels Tres Batlles belong to the present village. Festa de l’Espígol and the Completes ceremony continue its local calendar.

Marçà-Falset station is on the R15 regional line. Check the current timetable before travelling, as service patterns and engineering arrangements change.
The station serves both Marçà and Falset. A car remains useful for winery appointments beyond the village centre.
