Garnatxa Blanca and Macabeu form the clearest shared thread
DO Montsant identifies Garnatxa Blanca and Macabeu as its historic and predominant white varieties. Both are also permitted in DOQ Priorat.
The two grapes may appear separately or in blends. Their presence does not imply a single regional style because vineyard site and cellar choices remain decisive.

The authorised list is wider
DOQ Priorat also permits Pedro Ximénez, Chenin Blanc, two forms of Muscat, Xarel·lo and white Piquepoul. DO Montsant's current rules should be consulted for the complete legal list applying to a specific vintage.
Permission is not proof of use. An authorised-grape list defines what may be grown and bottled under the designation, while the producer's current technical record identifies what is actually in a particular wine.

White vineyards are not one cooler margin
White grapes grow across the same varied elevations, aspects and soils as the region's reds. A high vineyard may retain a different balance from exposed lower ground, but colour alone does not reveal the site.
The producer's place record is more useful than a general assumption about freshness. Village, parcel, harvest date and the season together provide the context.

Cellar method can change the whole reading
Stainless steel, concrete, oak and other vessels can each appear in regional white-wine production. Lees work, skin contact, fermentation temperature and time before release further widen the result.
These are not traits to infer from appellation or grape alone. A current producer sheet or back label is the right evidence for the bottle and vintage being considered.
